She first gained major attention with her debut album, In the Heat of the Night (1979), which included hits like “Heartbreaker” and “We Live for Love.” Her success skyrocketed with the release of her second album, Crimes of Passion (1980), featuring the Grammy-winning hit “Hit Me with Your Best Shot.”

Throughout the 1980s, Benatar released a series of successful albums and singles, including “Love Is a Battlefield,” “Shadows of the Night,” and “We Belong,” each contributing to her reputation as a leading rock artist. She won four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance from 1981 to 1984.
