Movie Director: Mike Mitchell

Mike Mitchell is an American director, writer, and voice actor, known for his work in both live-action and animated films. Born on October 18, 1970, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mitchell attended the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he honed his skills in animation and filmmaking.

Mitchell’s early career includes directing the cult classic “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” (1999) and the family comedy “Sky High” (2005). He gained further recognition in the animation genre, directing “Shrek Forever After” (2010), the final installment of the beloved Shrek series. His success continued with “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” (2019), showcasing his ability to blend humor and heart in animated storytelling.
