Shonda Rhimes is an American television producer, screenwriter, and author, born on January 13, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois.

She is best known as the creator, head writer, and executive producer of several popular television series, including Grey’s Anatomy (2005–present), Scandal (2012–2018), and How to Get Away with Murder (2014–2020). Rhimes is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in television, known for her ability to create complex, diverse characters and gripping storylines.
